About The Role The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for leading and managing the design team, ensuring the creative vision and brand standards of The Commons are upheld across all marketing and branding efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a skilled designer who can develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing creative team. About You Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field. Strong background or additional education in UX/UI, Branding, and Motion Graphics is required 8 years’ experience in graphic design. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, Canva & Webflow. A proven ability to drive creative strategy, execute impactful design work, and uphold brand consistency across multiple platforms. A strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high design standards in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally with executive team, marketing, content, and external vendors. An up-to-date portfolio showcasing expertise in Branding, UI/UX Design, including but not limited to website and app development, campaign design, and more. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Ensure the team meets deadlines while delivering high-quality design outcomes that align with The Commons’ brand identity. Foster cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless communication between design, marketing, and community teams. Creative Direction & Strategy Work closely with the Founder and Marketing Team to execute creative campaigns across the entire portfolio of the business: The Commons, Forum Workspace, Central House and The Commons Coffee. Ensure all visual assets align with The Commons’ identity and marketing objectives. Uphold and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. Stay ahead of industry trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to The Commons’ creative output. UX/UI Design & Digital Experience Design and improve user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for The Commons’ digital platforms (websites and apps), ensuring alignment with brand identity. Work closely with the Marketing team to refresh and maintain websites, implementing regular updates. Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups using tools like Figma to visualise and communicate digital experiences. Collaborate with external developers to lead projects to completion, ensuring design standards are upheld throughout the process. Ensure designs follow best practices for accessibility, responsiveness, and digital storytelling, optimising for seamless desktop and mobile experiences. Operations Oversee the design process, from ideation to final execution, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met. Manage external contractors for print production, merchandise, and large-scale design projects. Maintain digital asset libraries and design templates, ensuring easy accessibility and efficiency for the team. Support the Community Team and Marketing Team in executing high-impact brand campaigns and events.
