As the Trade Assistant (Forklift Lic required) you will be responsible for supporting skilled tradespeople by assisting with machine operation, material handling, and assembly tasks. You will help maintain tools and equipment, ensure safety compliance, and keep the workspace organized, playing a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient production processes. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to skilled tradespeople such as machinists, welders, and fitters in their tasks, including handling tools and materials. Operate basic machinery or assist in the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of more complex equipment under supervision. Transport, load, and unload materials and components using forklifts, hoists, or manually, ensuring materials are available where needed. Assist in the assembly of machinery components, which may involve grinding, polishing, bolting, screwing, or welding parts together under the direction of tradespeople. Inspect materials and components for defects, measure parts for accuracy, and report any issues to the relevant personnel.
