The Company: This team are a great events supplier in the industry and they are looking for an enthusiastic Event & Installation Designer to join their team on a permanent basis to design indoor installations and event spaces. This company creates stunning installations and show-stopping event designs for a wide variety of clients. Position Terms: Full-Time Permanent Role Working 5 days in the office, located in South-East Suburbs Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 plus super depending on experience Weekend and outside of hours work for events when required The Role: The Event & Installation Designer will play a key role in transforming public spaces by designing and delivering installations, events, and experiential projects across Australia and New Zealand. Working within the Creative Team, the Event & Installation Designer will lead projects from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities include; Manage client relationships, stakeholders, and supplier for seamless project execution. Create presentations, specifications, and project documentations. Work with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life through 3D renders, mood boards, and sketches. Ideate, design and deliver installations, events, and experiential projects in public spaces. Collaborate with the Creative Director and cross-disciplinary teams to produce innovative and large-scale designs. Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the creative vision and timelines. Lead and mentor junior team members on a project-to-project basis. The Candidate: The successful candidate will have experience working as a Designer within the events industry, ideally with experience designing indoor installations, events, and experiential projects. Strong spatial design, layout, and materials expertise is essential for this role. Proven experience in large-scale design projects. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to build, develop and maintain strong client relationships. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Suite, and familiarity with tools like Smartsheet. Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of each project. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Knowledge of production processes, installations, and lighting. Experience leading and mentoring junior team members is desirable. Ability to work from the office 5 days a week. Ability to work outside of normal office hours for events when required.
