This is a successful Australian company, with new design headquarters in a great central Sydney location. The Role In this Senior Industrial Designer role, you’ll not only have team lead responsibilities but will also be involved in the development of new designs, taking them from conception through to production. Special emphasis will be on in situ modelling and photorealistic rendering. You will: Take ownership of new product designs, seeing innovation and concepts through the complete journey to product release Present impressive design concepts and solutions through modelling, rendering and prototyping Specialise in photorealistic in situ product rendering Improve, maintain and update current products based on feedback from various teams, end-users and manufacturers Communicate with stakeholders and manage project outcomes Develop and maintain bill of materials, assembly documentation, accessories and packaging solutions Skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or relevant engineering discipline, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience A minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial design, with preference for Defence, Medical, Aerospace or Consumer Electronics industries Team leadership experience Experience in Solidworks, Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Keyshot (desirable) Strong ideation and sketching skills to effectively communicate ideas Knowledge of complex surface modelling Previous experience in design for manufacture with knowledge of various manufacturing techniques Excellent task and time management skills Photography and video editing experience - preferable You would excel in a high empowerment, fast paced environment, surrounded by likeminded, high achieving people An abundance of ambition and motivation to grow the company and compete with the big players in the industry Australian citizenship preferred for security level clearance requirements Benefits Culture of collaboration and exploration, encouraging you to develop ideas and potential new products Growth opportunity Whole product evolutionary cycle Ownership of work from start to finish - all aspects of design ideation and components/systems Multi-disciplined team environment Liaison with local and overseas suppliers and manufacturing partners Pool car for work travel Free coffee, food, phone costs Centrally located close to transport links N.B.
