Overview: Retail Sales Officer ​ ​ Full-time ​ , ​ Fixed Term position until January 2026 ​ Salary Level HEW 5 17% Superannuation Onsite position, based at the Bundoora and ​ Melbourne CBD ​ campus. About the role As the Retail Sales Officer, you will support the Senior Coordinator, Retail and Engagement, in delivering retail sales across both RMIT Store locations (City and Bundoora campuses) as well as the online store. You will focus on ensuring a positive customer experience and assisting with daily operations. You will also manage departmental orders for custom products and course equipment needs, liaising with suppliers as . You will also get involved in assisting with the planning and execution of retail activities and events, such as Orientation, Graduation, Welcome Days, Open Day, and promotional activations. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the smooth running of activities that represent the RMIT brand and support the student experience. This is an operational position and will be required to work on campus five days a week, based out of our City and Bundoora campus. If you have prior customer service experience and pride yourself on your initiative and commitment to excellence in customer service , we would love to hear from you To be successful in this position, you will have : Experience in providing effective administrative and organisational support, demonstrating discretion, diplomacy, and a tactful approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a customer-focused environment. Proven ability to take initiative, resolve problems, and follow through on tasks and customer inquiries. Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently. Confidence in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal staff, students, and external business partners, to build and maintain positive working relationships.
