Little Leo's Early Learning The Trustee for LZ Unit Trust 21 t/a Little Leo’s, is a family-owned childcare provider in Greater Sydney, offering premium, play-based learning for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years in purpose-built, safari-themed centres. We are currently seeking a full-time Child Care Worker/Educator to join our team, with the role based in Killara, NSW. This position is 38 hours per week, and the ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience and hold a diploma qualification in childhood education and care. A competitive salary of $73,500, plus superannuation, is on offer. Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Encourage positive social interactions and guide children's behavior to foster social and emotional development. Assist in the preparation and facilitation of educational and recreational activities. Engage with children through reading, storytelling, and interactive play. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene practices, including overseeing children's daily routines such as meals, rest, and personal care. Educational Program and Development Support the implementation of early childhood education programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework. Assist in observing, recording, and evaluating children's progress and development. Contribute to planning, executing, and reviewing age-appropriate learning activities. Encourage independence and creativity by providing stimulating learning opportunities. Help maintain a welcoming and engaging learning environment that reflects children’s interests. Family and Community Engagement Establish positive relationships with families, respecting their cultural values and parenting styles. Communicate effectively with families about children's experiences, progress, and any concerns. Encourage family involvement in the service through participation in activities, multicultural events, and committees. Maintain confidentiality of all child and family information. Team Collaboration and Professional Conduct Work collaboratively with colleagues, following the guidance of Room Leaders and Supervisors. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs. Uphold ethical standards, service policies, and the National Quality Framework. Assist with the smooth operation of daily routines and service activities. Adhere to all child protection and mandatory reporting responsibilities. Health, Safety, and Compliance Follow regulatory requirements under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. Ensure children's medication and health needs are managed appropriately. Report any safety, maintenance, or operational concerns to the Nominated Supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment. Implement and promote occupational health and safety policies within the service.
