Your new Role: The primary purpose of this role is to manage and maintain optimal inventory levels at our head office location based in Wetherill Park, Sydney. This includes regular coordination with national warehouses to ensure compliance with inventory management standards. The role also involves proficient operation of forklifts, encompassing the unloading of incoming shipments and the internal movement of materials. The Warehouse Storeworker will be pivotal in fulfilling orders, ensuring precise pick-and-pack processes to meet customer demands. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean, organised, and secure warehouse environment, optimising storage layouts, and offering training on forklift safety and warehouse operations to team members as needed. Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to manage incoming shipments, move inventory within the warehouse, and prepare outgoing orders for dispatch. Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Accurately pick and pack orders in line with customer specifications and shipping guidelines. Maintain up-to-date inventory records to accurately reflect all incoming, outgoing, and internal stock movements. Continuously optimise warehouse layout and storage configurations to enhance space utilisation and operational efficiency. Provide training to team members on forklift safety, order picking techniques, and proper material handling as required. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing potential hazards and promoting a culture of safety. Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, procurement, and construction, to ensure smooth operations and timely communication regarding inventory and order fulfillment.
