About the Role: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to assist a 10-year-old female participant in Gatton, QLD. The participant sustained a spinal cord injury as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Initially, attendant care support will focus on building rapport and trust with the participant and her family. Once this foundation is established, hours will increase to include support with personal care tasks, such as transfers, showering, drying, dressing, and bowel and bladder management (intermittent catheterization). This role is available for an immediate start on a casual, ongoing basis. The participant requires support Monday through to Friday, in the morning (from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM) and in the evening (from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM). Key responsibilities for this role include: Assisting with personal care and daily living activities Supporting bowel and bladder management Helping with domestic tasks and capacity-building activities Assisting with community access, rehabilitation, and attending health appointments Required Skills & Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support Australian Driver Licence Current National Police Clearance Current Blue Card and Yellow Card First Aid & CPR Certificate NDIS Worker Orientation Module NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude Please Note: Two current professional references are required as part of the application process. Pay Rates: Day Rate: $40.00 per hour Saturday: $56.00 per hour Sunday: $72.00 per hour Travel Allowance: $0.99 per kilometre (when travelling with the participant) Why Join Us?
