Job Description About the Opportunity We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Administrative Support Officer to join the Office of the Vice Chancellor. If you excel in communication, have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including: Providing reception services to a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior executives. Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and handling invitations with precision and professionalism. Overseeing financial tasks such as credit card reconciliations, invoice processing, and payments. Coordinating travel and accommodation, including car hire and conference arrangements. Maintaining and organizing meeting rooms, setting up AV systems, and arranging catering. Managing office supplies, equipment, and stationery to ensure smooth operations. Handling mail, photocopying, and preparing correspondence, both routine and ad hoc. This full-time, on-campus role is integral to supporting the Office of the Vice Chancellor and requires a consistent physical presence to support reception services and other administrative tasks. Please note that flexible/work from home arrangements are not available for this position. Exceptional communication skills to connect effectively with a team that operates across multiple campuses and with senior stakeholders. A commitment to producing work of the highest standard, ensuring the Vice Chancellor and team are consistently supported. The ability to represent the Vice Chancellor with professionalism and integrity, upholding the reputation of the office in every interaction. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle a fast-paced and dynamic workload. Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check. What we can offer This is a continuing opportunity based at the Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. HEW 4 Salary – Base range - $71,827.41 - $75,785.75. Full package range - $84,038.08 - $88,669.34.
