About the role: We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Design team within our Development Function. The incumbent will be supporting a broad team of qualified technical staff responsible for design and documentation covering electrical power systems and provide support in areas of design, construction and process management. Key responsibilities include: • Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and ICT groups to ensure delivery and operations of optimised data centre solutions, services and functionality, therefore facilitating growth and scalability of our core business. • Perform electrical engineering design which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects. • Perform calculations to analyze and design electrical power systems. • Assist in the evaluation and selection of electrical systems and equipment. • Contribute to the development of electrical systems, through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. • Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents and client presentations pertaining to specific project deliverables. • Deliver tender and For Construction design documentation with assistance from consultants. • Ensure all electrical system architectures are designed in accordance with industry best practice for critical infrastructure & utility environments. • Assist in the new projects and upgrade activities, through lifecycle management, ensuring continual resilience and accuracy of data centre system control platforms. • Work in collaboration with internal business verticals including Operational Site Management teams and Technology teams to ensure all generational improvement, enhancement and training deliver optimised and functional outcomes. • Work diversely as a key part of a small but highly professional broader CDC team to positively build upon the culture and capabilities of our collective. • Lead, attend and contribute to appropriate team and stakeholder meetings and committees as required and relevant to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and communication. • Embrace and model CDC’s DNA and Leadership Fundamentals. • Other duties as directed from time to time. About you: • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering. • 3 years’ relevant experience in electrical engineering detailed design. Previous experience design data centres desired but not mandatory. • Strong experience using Revit, PowerCAD (Or similar), Dilaux OR Agi32 • Experience in low voltage design (including electrical discrimination studies, experience in high voltage design desired but not mandatory, • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Essential: • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.
