A job to be proud of: As an UI Designer , you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-centric designs for St John WA’s digital platforms. This role focuses on the aesthetic and functional aspects of web design, ensuring that all digital touchpoints provide an engaging and consistent user experience. The Web Designer works closely with the UX/UI Specialist to integrate user research and usability principles into designs, and collaborates with the Front-End Web Developer to bring these designs to life. This position is a permanent full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, based in our Belmont Office. What you’ll do: Develop visually appealing, responsive designs for web and mobile platforms that align with St John WA’s brand guidelines to enhance customer engagement. Utilise design tools to create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that effectively convey design ideas, ensuring a clear visual direction. Incorporate the latest web design trends and standards to improve user experience and strengthen St John WA’s digital presence. Maintain a consistent visual style across all digital platforms, reinforcing brand identity and improving user recognition. Work closely with the UX/UI Specialist and other teams to ensure that design concepts reflect user research and deliver a cohesive digital experience. Integrate insights from user research and usability testing into design revisions, improving overall user satisfaction and engagement. Provide clear design specifications, assets, and guidelines to the Front-End Wed Developer, to guarantee accurate translation of designs into functional websites. Adhere to relevant web accessibility guidelines, ensuring that all users, including those with disabilities, can access and interest with digital platforms effectively. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field. Professional certification in web design or related areas (preferred). Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshops, Illustrator, XD) and Figma. Knowledge of user experience (UX) design and usability testing. Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS) to facilitate collaboration with developers. Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and aesthetics. What’s in it for you?
