Covering regional QLD (excluding Brisbane and the Gold Coast). The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the industrial B2B sector, servicing the building and construction industry. In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the Business Development Manager will focus on expanding the company’s presence across various markets in regional Queensland including top-tier firms, government, council and residential clients. This is a vast region with unparallelled hunting opportunity, spanning from north of Cairns down to the NSW border, requiring extensive travel to prioritize face-to-face client engagement. Your success in this role will come from building and strengthening relationships, identifying new growth opportunities, and driving outstanding results with both new and existing clients. Supported by a team of Area Managers, Project Managers, and Estimators, you’ll hit the ground running with comprehensive training, equipping you with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive. About You: You’re a results-driven sales professional with a proven background in sales/lead generation, ideally within the construction, civil, building materials, heavy machinery or related industrial sectors. Your ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and generate leads is what truly sets you apart. You thrive in face-to-face meetings and enjoy life on the road, being comfortable spending circa 3 of 4 weeks on the road enjoying client paid travel and expenses. With excellent communication and negotiation skills, you’re adept at identifying opportunities, solving problems, and delivering value-added solutions. Your disciplined approach to sales, including managing pipelines and maintaining CRM systems, ensures no opportunity is missed.
