Type : Part-Time Term : Ongoing Position Details Teaching Assistant – Foods Science Technologies Exciting opportunity to join Seton Catholic College as Part-time Teaching Assistant in our Home Economics (Foods Science Technologies) Learning Area. Responsibilities include: • Assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs and under teacher direction, implement individual or small group programs or demonstrations • Develop positive relationships with all students, staff and work as part of a team • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations • Assist the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities • Undertake regular activities in the learning area including dusting, cleaning the floor throughout the teaching day, on a needs basis cleaning and tidying of textiles and foods cupboards, refrigerator/freezer, stoves, sewing equipment, ranges and ovens • Check all equipment and report any discrepancies to the Teacher • Assist the teacher with the care and supervision of students in out-of-class activities and school excursions • Assist the teacher with the general care and wellbeing of students, including attending to students in need of minor first aid • Assist with the management of resources by maintaining and updating inventory lists, monitoring stock levels and requirements For more information and to access the Application Form and upload your resume please visit the College website: www.seton.wa.edu.au/employment-vacancies Catholic Education Western Australia encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with a disability, people of all ages and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
