Your Opportunity: The Warehouse & Logistics Team are part of the wider Procurement & Supply Chain function. Our key services include category and strategy planning, sourcing, procure-to-pay, logistics, contract management, and supplier relationship management. We are dedicated to ensuring efficient, effective and responsible procurement and supply chain operations that drive long-term success and sustainability. Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Leader, the Warehouse & Logistics Officer is an essential role within a small, dedicated team. You will proactively contribute to the day-to-day operations of the various warehouses, ensuring that the delivery of materials and equipment for Urban Utilities customers is safe, efficient and effective ensuring that inventory is managed in accordance with relevant procedures. Your commitment to safety will be imperative as well as taking responsibility for inventory accuracy and ensuring materials are appropriately warehoused. It would be great if you have an understanding of chemical management and chain of responsibility but also an enthusiasm and willingness to learn. The team are supportive, fun and enjoy an early start to the day working from 6am to 2.06pm every day, onsite at the Acacia Ridge Depot. Please note, this position may also require on-call duties outside of standard working hours. Key accountabilities will include: Understand and follow HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks in the workplace. Manual handling - picking and packing of all inventory materials, wrap strapping and palletising, pushing and pulling pallet jacks and trolleys, moving large and awkward parts and large pipe etc. Operation of equipment and machinery including high reach forklift Managing the transportation of goods and supplies, developing new procedures as required and generating solutions to improve inefficiencies. Knowledge of water industry/plumbing parts may be helpful but not essential to the role. About You: We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping the future of the water industry Ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences: Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations (Warehousing Operations) Knowledge and understanding of chemical storage Demonstrated experience in warehousing practices and use of a range of industry machinery and systems including; Load Restraint Course Current C Class (Manual) Driver’s Licence High-risk Forklift Licence ( Highly skilled in high reach forklift ) At UU, we celebrate diversity.
