Join us as we contribute to this significant transition in the energy sector. About the role ISON is a collaboration between 6 founding System Operators. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to work with advanced system operators globally, to contribute to the uplifting of operational capability and support the transition to power systems increasingly dominated by renewable energy. You’ll support the Executive Director ISON to build effective engagement and collaboration with the ISON system operators, supporting collaboration on joint projects and initiatives. You’ll help distil key technical learnings and insights to uplift ISON system operator capability, sharing with other system operators globally. You’ll also support engagement with CSIRO on the development of the associated research plans for Australia. Other stakeholders include manufacturers, software vendors, philanthropic organisations, universities and other technical institutes. What you will be doing Actively support collaboration across the ISON to ensure technical priorities remain relevant, helping to track progress and delivery. Engage with ISON partners to provide input and feedback aligned with the objectives of the ISON, including support of international outreach initiatives. Assist with progress reporting, technical documentation, meeting minutes and presentations. What you will bring to the role (5-7 bullet points) Currently undertaking tertiary and/or postgraduate studies in a relevant discipline. Sound understanding of engineering and power systems related concepts. Understanding of coding/automation techniques and their applications to power system simulation software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an engaging manner.
