Pipeline Traineeship Job ID 6691 Type Full time Location Miles, QLD Positions 1 Apply Pipeline Traineeship The Opportunity In partnership with Origin Energy , MIGAS is seeking a Pipelaying Trainee who wants to build a long-term career with a major local employer in the Western Downs. In this two-year traineeship , you will work towards the completion of a PMA30120 Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (Pipelines Stream) . This is an identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander role based at Condabri IOC near Miles. The roster will be 14 days on and 14 off . You will travel across the Pipeline Network to locations including Roma, Biloela and Gladstone. Origin is upstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, which supplies natural gas to domestic markets and exports LNG under long-term contracts. Your key responsibilities will be to: Conduct pipeline easement patrols identifying vegetation growth, erosion/subsidence and unauthorised third-party activities Complete cathodic protection checks Assist with pipeline maintenance activities including pigging, valve greasing, breakdowns Conduct station inspections identifying any hazards, corrective works Comply with HSE initiatives and day to day policies, maintain Safe Operation of Assets Complete monthly reports outlining activities undertaken in areas of responsibility Benefits Full time 2-year contract including paid annual and personal leave Paid weekly Opportunity to be mentored by industry specialists About You We're seeking a motivated, hardworking individual who is a team player and dedicated to building a career in the gas industry.
