Your role at St John of Murdoch Hospital. You will be responsible for providing a quality service in the clerical support function and providing a high standard of reception service to a broad range of customers. We now have 3 Casual positions vacant. Availability to work 24/7 including night and weekend shifts is essential to the role. Applicants will be considered for various vacancies over the next 6 months as they become available. The Position Provide reception service for the department Liasise with nursing staff, bed allocation areas and admissions Complete admission process of patients in accordance with department protocols. Maintain a high standard of telephone communication at all times and assists with paging requests. Provide a clerical service to the department, including the maintenance of department statistics, specialist contact lists, distribution of reports / documents to other departments as requested by management and executive. Receipt and secure any monies paid by patients. Monitor and order stationery supplies. Provide computer support where necessary utilizing hospital formats. Generate and maintain accurate and complete patient records as per Medical Record Guidelines and Departmental procedures. Complete admission quotations, billing charges and billing of all patients including the liaison with health funds where necessary. Provide patient and families with information in regard to hospital fees. With well-developed interpersonal skills and high level of oral and written communication you will have the ability to liaise effectively with the service providers, the public, patients and all levels of staff. A high level of attention to detail to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently will assist you to prioritise workload and collaborate within the team to achieve an efficient and effective service. To succeed you will have demonstrated computer skills including Word, Excel, patient management system, knowledge of medical terminology and medical record procedures and practices. We can offer you Salary : $40.58 to $43.80 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 11.5% superannuation Casual position. 3 positions currently available.
