School of Architecture, Design and Planning – Faculty of EAIT Part-time (40%), fixed-term position until 30 June 2028 Base salary will be in the range $78,944.40 - $87,750.37 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5) Based at our St Lucia Campus (Brisbane) About This Opportunity The Research Administration Officer role is integral to supporting the design and development of Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) devices as part of the MRFF (Medical Research Future Fund) grant. Working within UQ's Design team, you will provide critical support for research coordination, project administration, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance with UQ’s systems, protocols, and procedures. Key responsibilities will include: Provide high-level administrative support for designing patient-facing outcomes for artificial heart technologies while ensuring compliance with UQ’s policies, procedures, and research governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate team meetings, schedules, and communication, liaise with stakeholders to maintain relationships, and ensures alignment on goals and priorities. Utilise desktop-based programs and management information systems, maintains accurate records of research data and project outputs, and ensures secure storage and management. Assist with drafting and preparing research documentation, including ethics applications, progress reports, and final deliverables. Other duties as reasonably directed by the supervisor. Demonstrated experience working within the higher education sector and ability to gain skills and knowledge working within University systems. Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills. Experience working as a team member in a busy environment. Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
