This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. Although we outsource our infrastructure support to DXC, this position will serve as a vital point of contact within the business for coordination and will be required onsite full time. Key Responsibilities: Service Desk Management : Oversee the service desk queues for the Rheem IT resolver group, reallocating records to the appropriate personnel. Act as the site contact for DXC regarding hardware issues. System Administration : Provide expert administration, configuration, and support for various IT systems, including Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, firewalls, and network infrastructure. Issue Resolution : Proactively identify and troubleshoot application and system issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Technology Refresh Process : Administer the technology refresh process, from equipment procurement to secure disposal at the end of its lifecycle. On-Site Coordination : Serve as the Rydalmere site contact for DXC, handling problem notifications, escalations, troubleshooting, site cabling, and equipment placement. Security Management : Implement and maintain robust security practices to protect our IT infrastructure from cyber threats. Compliance Monitoring : Monitor email systems and internet access to ensure adherence to Rheem’s usage policies. System Upgrades and Innovations : Participate in system upgrades, migrations, new site provisioning, and technology initiatives. Telecommunications Administration : Validate Telstra mobile billing and manage our telecommunications needs as required. Administer service desk queues for Masergy, Telestar, and Telstra, reallocating problems to the appropriate resolver groups. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Experience as a Systems Engineer in a manufacturing (preferred) or enterprise environment The ability to self-motivate with proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field is highly desirable Expertise in infrastructure configuration, including firewalls, Layer 3 managed switching, Wi-Fi, and VOIP devices; Cisco CCNA certification is mandatory Extensive knowledge of security best practices and hands-on experience with security tools Proficiency with Microsoft 365 cloud technologies, such as Office 365, Exchange, Azure AD, SharePoint/OneDrive, and MDM; working towards or holding a Microsoft MCSE certification is preferred If the above sounds like you, we would love to hear from you – APPLY NOW.
