Notth Brisbane Location $65 Per Hour Super Contract: 6-Months with Extension Potential Position Purpose: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to join our Development Services team. In this role, you will provide routine technical advice and conduct engineering assessments on low-complexity development matters, with a focus on transport and stormwater infrastructure. Your work will help ensure the sustainable development and infrastructure needs of the local community. Key Responsibilities & Outcomes: As an Engineer - Development Services, you will: Provide technical advice on low-complexity development matters, particularly related to transport, stormwater infrastructure, and flood/storm tide inundation hazards. Assess development applications in accordance with legislative, policy, and business requirements. Conduct research, analysis, and prepare recommendations for senior officer review. Support the coordination of development assessment processes, including the recovery of infrastructure costs and negotiation of routine infrastructure agreements. Undertake site inspections and investigations to support engineering assessments of development applications. Foster a positive team environment to maintain high performance and a customer-focused culture. Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service outcomes. Knowledge & Experience: The ideal candidate will have: Strong knowledge and experience in engineering assessment and compliance services. Proficiency in the planning, design, and construction of transport and stormwater infrastructure. Familiarity with State Planning Policy, the SEQ Regional Plan, the Planning Scheme, and the Adopted Infrastructure Charge Resolution. Proven experience applying relevant planning and development legislation and policy. Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in negotiating routine infrastructure agreements and other commercial agreements. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. General Induction Licence (White Card).
