Brisbane IT & Telecomms Data / Records Management 06 months extensions Daily rate contract Flexibility to WFH 2 days per week About the role: This position will work closely with business users to build data products to extract and gain value from our client’s data assets. While developing data engineering and ETL products; perform testing and validation of developed solutions, documentation of artefacts and data sets, and participate in team code reviews. Experience and Knowledge Demonstrated experience in design and development of Data Pipelines for Analytics and Reporting solutions, including data modelling, data ingestion and ETL, report and visualisations development. Hands on experience in designing and building real-time event/streaming pipeline using Azure Event Hub and Stream analytics Experience with Microsoft data integration tools – Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SSIS. Experience with SQL, Python, Spark SQL and other cloud-based modelling and ETL tools. Experience designing data models for Business Intelligence consumption. Demonstrated delivery of data models applying Kimball, 3NF, and/or Data Vault. Experience with Business Intelligence tools for example Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, SSRS Experience deploying data solutions with cloud platforms (Azure). Knowledge of cloud transformation tools and data accelerators. Responsibilities and outcomes Development of data warehouse, data marts, and data stores applications including extraction and ingestion, transformation, and data loading. Support and maintain existing data solutions and applications, including development of ETL/ELT applications, OLAP cubes, reporting data objects. Testing and validating data applications. Undertaking code peer review. Writing and maintaining documentation of developed data applications and data models, such as user guides. Contribution and design of data models in conjunction with senior technical team members.
