Rombola Family Farms is seeking a HC Truck Driver to join our team. The role of the truck driver is to transport Rombola Family Farms produce locally. The position will require to load and unload goods, troubleshooting mechanical issues, change tyres, and conduct repairs. Key accountabilities include: Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely. Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight. Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage. Verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods, and obtaining certification of deliveries Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned To be successful in the role you will possess the following: Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc). Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. Ability to drive long hours. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. Excellent attention to detail. Initiative and integrity. Team player. Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets. A current driver’s licence. A relevant truck driver licence.
