Permanent role| Based in Northern beaches |Onsite role Experience with databases and web technologies Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications Our client is looking for a System and Database Administrator who will be responsible for administering and integrating the company's databases, systems, application and services. Key Responsibilities: Administer systems such as TASS and Canvas Facilitate seamless data integration and movement between systems. Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions. Provide technical expertise in database architectural design, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery strategies. Implement changes and apply new patches and versions as required. Set role-based permissions for staff and students. Test backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity, availability and retention. Implement and manage database security measures to safeguard sensitive information. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss. Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes. Assist in resolving data-related challenges and addressing issues effectively. Respond to helpdesk tickets escalated from support. Provide training and support to staff to ensure best practices are followed. Generate reports. Key Skills Required: Experience with databases and web technologies. Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications. Proficiency in database queries, backup and recovery, security. Experience in database design, documentation, and coding. API and web services experience. Experience in automating workflows and integrating data via form tools. Understanding of data warehouse systems and data analytics within an educational setting. Experience administering the TASS Student Management System. Microsoft Certified Professional qualifications in the database field. SharePoint experience. Excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of school administration systems. IT Service Management experience, preferably with ITIL knowledge. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with executives, staff, students, and external vendors. Ability to work within tight time frames and budget constraints. Working With Children Background Check.
