AGL’s Gas & Renewables Engineering team is seeking an innovative Electrical Engineer on a 12-month fixed term contract , working alongside a team of engineers, planners, site supervisors, technicians and operators who maintain and optimise our gas and renewable assets across the region. Based in Mt. Beauty in the North-East of Victoria, you will be ensuring the safe delivery of electrical projects across the portfolio. Mt Beauty has outstanding access to the region, surrounded by Alpine National Park, offering a lifestyle that offers balance and appeal for both individuals and families. What you’ll be doing: Electrical (including HV)/Instrumentation testing, troubleshooting, providing technical support to maintenance, compliance testing, operations to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production. Generator compliance testing Contribute to the Renewables Asset Management Plans, while participating in asset related investigations. Support the delivery of operation and maintenance projects, liaising with contractors, project coordination and project reporting. Assess new renewable technologies that will help to deliver value to the broader organisation. What you’ll bring: Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical Trade (with post-trade qualifications) Demonstrated experience in HV and power generation/distribution/transmission Significant experience in HV testing and/or asset engineering with operational and technical experience on HV assets and rotating equipment Collaborative approach to creating and delivering solutions A commitment to AGL’s Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
