About the role As V/Line’s Senior Cyber Security Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing V/Line’s cyber security operations capabilities. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will support risk management, policy review, incident response training, and help other teams improve security outcomes. With extensive knowledge in cyber security technologies approaches and tools, you will be at the forefront of V/Line’s Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC), helping our stakeholders achieve tangible outcomes through modern and pragmatic initiatives. You will use your expertise in automation, cloud technologies, OT systems, and threat intelligence to optimise V/Line’s cyber security infrastructure. If you're passionate about cyber security, thrive in complex environments, and excel at leading teams, we want you About you Possessing a proactive and enthusiastic attitude, you’ll have the ability to provide balanced advice to key technical and non-technical stakeholders and project resources which align with international information security standards and reduces the risk of control weaknesses being introduced by projects. Successful candidate will also possess: 3 years’ experience successfully working in hands-on, security operations positions. Established experience managing and triaging endpoint protection technologies such as next gen av (NGAV) and endpoint detection and response (EDR). Track record in data security controls and techniques such as data loss prevention, identity access management, threat intelligence and log management. Tertiary qualifications in computer science, cyber security, computer/electronic engineering, or related field. Hold Cyber Security certification (CEH or SECURITY preferred). Demonstrated experience with Security Automation and Orchestration (SOAR) and event management or correlation tools (SIEM). Proven experience working as part of a critical infrastructure operator/Rail (Desirable) Remuneration for this position will be commensurate to the successful candidate’s aligned experience and skillset to this position.
