About the opportunity Casual Social Work positions at Grade 2 level are available at both Mercy Hospital for Women and Werribee Mercy Hospital Grade 3 positions are available for weekend shifts in the ED at Werribee Mercy Hospital These positions encompass a clinical caseload within the maternity or gynaecological streams at Mercy Hospital for Women and the acute, subacute, ED, maternity and paediatric streams at Werribee Mercy Hospital This position will form part of an integral multi-disciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and practising the core values of Mercy Health This role will encourage best practise philosophy amongst staff and will be expected to demonstrate an advanced clinical skill set Applicants interested in the Emergency Department position will have a demonstrated ability to provide a clinical service to a broad range of client groups What you’ll bring You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. To thrive in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualification in Social Work with a minimum of 2 years' experience and eligibility for membership to the AASW Sound knowledge of current evidence based practises and commitment to continuing professional development and research Prior hospital experience is highly desirable Adaptive, creative, with a passion for patient-focused care You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
