Whilst undertaking a nationally recognised qualification in Engineering (Fabrication), the successful applicant will be trained and involved in all aspects of fabrication including the assembly of metal fabricated products such as structures, frames, plate and sheet assemblies, pipe-work and vessels. Are you: Physically fit? Good at maths & English? Passionate about working in the Engineering field? The details: Work & Training would employ you for the duration of the four-year apprenticeship. Full time hours – Monday to Friday. Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays for the year. Theory training conducted by TasTAFE in one-week blocks. Mentoring and support provided throughout the traineeship. Your workplace supervisors would provide daily coaching and opportunity for growth. An Engineering (Fabrication Trade) apprentice would be expected to learn and be involved in the following tasks: Using a range of welding techniques; Using hand tools and hand held power tools; Using workshop equipment such as: Drills Grinders Plate folding & rolling equipment CNC Plasma cutting equipment Lifting equipment.
