We are recruiting an Azure Cloud Engineer for a 6-month contract with a local council in the West. The successful candidate will have expertise in Azure services (e.g., Virtual Networks (VNETs), App Services, VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy ) and a strong understanding of the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure landing zones (enterprise-scale and foundation-level). You will play a key role in implementing secure, scalable, and compliant Azure solutions. Key Responsibilities: Configure and implement Azure services, including VNETs, App Services, Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor , and Azure Policy . Apply the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) across its six pillars: Strategy, Plan, Ready, Adopt, Govern, Manage . Design and implement Azure landing zones (enterprise-scale and foundation-level) to ensure optimal, secure cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business goals and compliance requirements. Document solutions, processes, and configurations clearly for future reference and stakeholder communication. Qualifications: Proven experience with Azure services (VNETs, VMs, App Services, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Monitor, Policy). Strong knowledge of Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and its pillars (Strategy, Plan, Ready, Adopt, Govern, Manage). Experience designing and implementing Azure landing zones (enterprise-scale and foundation-level). Strong communication skills with the ability to document and explain complex solutions clearly. Ability to manage security, network configurations, and governance in cloud environments. Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.
