This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading Iconic South Australian utilities provider looking for a UX.UI Designer to work on human centered design products liaising with front end developers. Our client is a great South Australian State Government utilities provider, and they are on the hunt for a short-term UX.UI Designer to help with their human centred and front-end project activities. 5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week. Adelaide CBD location Adelaide based candidates only. This role requires the candidate to be in the office 4 to 5 days a week. $65 to $100 per hour base plus 11% superannuation on an hourly rate contract, 37.5 hours (15% casual loading included). The rate of pay is aligned with skills, experience, or expertise in UX.UI Design experience in large corporations. State Government Agencies Award 2020 industry award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances and superannuation. All applicable award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances and superannuation for this role. National police check required. Key accountabilities Lead the UX design and delivery of digital solutions across SA Water Deliver customer focussed UX designs that delivers customer satisfaction and efficiencies. Key contributor to project deliverables to ensure alignment to business and customer outcomes. Identify, troubleshoot and develop solutions to product design faults that will lead to a better customer experience. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with design system standards. Conduct user research, usability testing, and accessibility reviews to ensure user-centred design. Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is maintained during implementation. Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design principles in all aspects of design. Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth implementation of design system components. Provide basic front-end development support (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) to prototype concepts and validate design assumptions. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during development. Design System development and delivery Understand and use customer needs and insights. Build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships Demonstrate organisational compliance Key stakeholder engagments Customer Experience teams Brand and Community Connection team Communications team Technology Program and Project Delivery teams Technology Engagement and Planning teams Skills requirements Tertiary qualifications in business management, design, computer science or related discipline, or relevant demonstrated experience in UI/UX Designer roles Experience designing and delivering design systems and documentation for digital products. Including a strong understanding of UX design principles, accessibility (WCAG), and inclusive design practices. Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Strong level of communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Ability to build and maintain productive relationships and networks Understanding of people, process and technology impacts in digital project delivery Experience in IT project delivery Special conditions Flexible hours and some after hours as required.
