About the Role: The primary purpose of this position is to effectively coordinate the day-to-day operations of the English as an Additional Language (EAL) Administration Team within the Foundation Directorate. This role involves providing leadership, mentorship, and training to the EAL Administration staff in order to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered, key data entry and reporting deadlines are met, and systematic processes and contract requirements are practiced and maintained. Duties: Foster a positive and welcoming student and work environment by promoting effective teamwork, communication, and a culture of continuous improvement to ensure high-quality outcomes for students and staff. Lead, prioritise, and supervise the daily administrative activities, workload, and performance of the EAL Administration Team to ensure high-quality outcomes and the provision of excellent and accurate customer advice to students and stakeholders. Use advanced administration skills to oversee and optimise the EAL administrative functions to ensure efficiency and high standards of customer service. Develop, implement, and maintain onboarding programs for EAL administration staff and provide ongoing support to, foster their professional growth and development. Ensure that all staff are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Lead the EAL Administration Team who have responsibility for data entry requirements in the EAL program ensuring information is accurate, timely, and compliant. Provide high level administrative support to the Foundation Directorate Administrator, EAL Manager and Program Leaders to implement and evaluate effective operational procedures that ensure positive client, compliance, and reporting outcomes, including identifying and resolving problems as they arise. Skills and Experience Required: A current Police Check and a current Working With Children Check Card (Employee) is mandatory for the successful applicant of this position. Appropriate tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience in administrative roles carrying staff supervision responsibilities in an education setting. Demonstrated high level administrative and leadership skills including the ability to work independently, to supervise workloads of others, and to coordinate administrative activities across delivery requirements in a designated work area. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams/SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint to administer projects, programs, filing systems, as well as prepare documents and spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of Student Management Systems and various government databases. Demonstrated highly effective intercultural communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to exercise sound judgment and work in a self-directed manner, and the ability to contribute positively and function effectively as a team leader and team member. Demonstrated ability, commitment, and attitude to the provision of high-level customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, preferably in an educational setting. Demonstrated advanced organisational and problem-solving skills, the ability to be proactive.
