About the Role: We are seeking a Network and Telecommunications Administrator to join council's IT team and provide hands-on support for our network infrastructure and telecommunications systems. This is a varied and dynamic role where you will play a key part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving network performance across multiple council sites. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including Dell Core Switches, Aruba edge switches, Ruckus WiFi, SonicWALL firewalls, and MS Teams Telephony, providing support for both daily operations and exciting new projects. Key Responsibilities: Break/Fix Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network equipment, including Dell Core Switches, Aruba Edge Switches, Ruckus WiFi, SonicWALL firewalls, and various routers Telecommunications Support: Provide support for MS Teams Telephony and mobile services, ensuring seamless communication across the organisation Audio/Visual Systems: Assist with the management and support of Teams Rooms and other AV equipment WiFi Rollout: Support the rollout of new WiFi infrastructure using Aruba technology to improve connectivity and performance across council sites LAN Switch Refresh: Assist with the refresh and upgrade of LAN switches, including deployment and configuration of Aruba technology WAN Strategy Planning: Contribute to the planning and execution of the WAN strategy to enhance network resilience and facilitate the migration of applications to the cloud Travel to Sites: Provide on-site support at various council locations as required (departmental car provided) What We're Looking For: Associate Diploma in IT or equivalent in network/security architecture Extensive experience in cloud, IoT, and SCADA networks Expertise in designing and implementing security policies for IP Telephony, LAN, WAN, VPN, and mobile devices Skilled in network performance monitoring and optimisation Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex issues Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities and document critical events Security Standards: Knowledge of network security standards and risk management Driver's Licence: Current C-class driver's licence for site travel Hit APPLY today or call Samantha Khosid on 1300 800 301 / 02 6680 9018 to have a discussion.
