About the Position We are looking to welcome a Residential Support Worker to foster a welcoming home environment for the children in the Family Reunification House (FRH), undertake day-to-day household duties, and provide support and warmth for children and young people. Casual Position. This role includes weekends and evenings including sleepovers at the house. Level 2 under the SCHCADS Award. Base hourly rate is $41.76 inclusive of casual loading Super. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively and under the leadership of the Team Leader to undertake the day-to-day household duties, property and grounds maintenance, cleaning, and Provide effective support to children and young people and in collaboration with the Team Leader, assist the children and young people to develop positive behaviour management strategies. Create, in conjunction with other residential workers, a warm, structured, secure environment and maintain an accepting and supportive relationship with family and community contacts of each young person. About You Hold or in process of completing a Degree in Community Services or other relevant field; or hold or in process of completing a Certificate IV in Child Youth & Family Intervention or other recognised qualification as outlined in the Strengthening the Queensland Residential Care Workforce – Minimum Qualification Standards Information Sheet. Hold the Hope & Healing Foundations Framework Demonstrated ability to assist in the running of a busy household. Demonstrated skill, ability and experience in caring for children.
