Carey students spend four to five days at the camp during Years 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10. The Outdoor Education Kitchen Coordinator is essential in ensuring the effective planning, preparation and delivery of nutritious meals to the students and staff participating in the program. This is a casual position, commencing in Term 1, 2025. Key Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of Camp Toonallook's meal delivery, including preparation, cooking and serving meals Oversee kitchen cleaning duties, completed by students Manage ordering and safe storage of ingredients and supplies Maintain a safe, hygienic and tidy kitchen space Liaise with the Outdoor Education team to discuss catering requirements and kitchen operation The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: Previous experience in cooking for large groups and/or experience working in commercial kitchens Current safe food handlers certificate Proven knowledge of ‘Food Safety Guidelines’ Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis accreditation (based on Ministerial order 706) A valid Employee Working With Children Check is a requirement of employment in this position.
