Here is what you can expect from this role: Plan and execute targeted lead generation activities to drive the achievement of sales, discount, margin, product mix, and customer goals across retail, end-users, builders, and contractors. Continuously enhance industry knowledge to position yourself as a trusted advisor to customers, conducting all business dealings in a professional, safe, and ethical manner. Provide expert insights into the market and competitor landscape to inform business decisions and strategies. Commit to ongoing growth and development of skills and competencies, striving to be recognized as an industry-leading sales professional in the electrical sector. Manage the Sunshine Coast region independently, establishing the company as the preferred supplier for all electrical solutions. CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS: The successful candidate must have the drive and willingness to learn a new industry and products. You’ll be required to align with most of these requirements: Driven and proven sales performer within the building materials industry (strong annual turnover, high quality service, valuable relationships Exceptional consultative selling skills with proven track record of success the sales cycle from plan to close. Demonstrates best-in-class skills in building rapport, understanding customers' needs, presenting solutions, handling objections, converting business, and following up. Experience in similar channels working with architects, builders and/or retail customers - highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, engage and influence people effectively on all levels. Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
