The new Light Rail connects Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, spanning 12 kilometres and utilising state-of-the-art vehicles that delivers comfortable, user-friendly and high-performance services. By 2026, around 28,000 people will use Parramatta Light Rail every day and an estimated 130,000 people will be living within walking distance of light rail stops. The role Having recently opened this is a critical role in our business supporting the operation of the light rail network. Based at our brand-new facility in Camellia you will be responsible for taking delivery of all spare parts (capital spares, warranty spares, consumables & tooling), managing and co-ordinating inventory management systems, organising effective controls for return & repair of spare parts and conducting quality checks for any defects. As part of receiving and dispatching stock you will assist with unloading containers or delivery trucks ensuring the stock is safely transported into our facility. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement you will have the opportunity to identify and implement ways of managing stock more efficiently, which will help support our Service Technicians and Engineers achieve their goals. What you bring In addition to your current fork lift licence, your background will include extensive experience working in a similar role (spare parts, maintenance or related) with a focus on inventory management. Given the nature of the work an eye for detail and accurate record keeping, supported by being process driven, is essential. Equally important is your ability build effective relationships with the broader team and to respond to urgent requests in a fast paced. This role will see you work both independently (running the warehouse) and contribute as part of a broader team.
