This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive and welcoming team dedicated to providing exceptional care to the local community. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice while offering a warm and friendly experience for patients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining the exceptional reputation of this beloved family practice. What you will be doing? • Welcome patients, manage phone inquiries and provide a friendly and professional first point of contact. • Book and confirm appointments using GP medical software (preferably Best Practice). • Maintain accurate patient records, handle correspondence, and support the practice with general administrative tasks. • Assist in triaging patients, ensuring those with urgent needs are attended to appropriately. • Process payments, manage invoicing, and handle Medicare and private health insurance claims. • Work closely with doctors and healthcare staff, ensuring the day-to-day operation of the practice runs smoothly. What do you bring? • 1 years of experience in a medical receptionist role (or similar). • Experience with GP medical software, ideally Best Practice. • Aptitude for learning, with a proactive and organised approach to tasks. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
