They are expanding their fleet and are seeking experienced b-double drivers to join their linehaul division on an ongoing basis from the Gillman site. Starting out as casual employment with full time hours and runs, this position has the potential to become permanent full-time with our client, for the right candidates. These are linehaul positions doing runs between depots Melbourne/Tumut/Brisbane/Sydney/Adelaide. You will be working as part of a terrific company with a great reputation for looking after their drivers. About You You will be an experienced MC licensed B-double driver with previous experience with linehaul work in b-doubles or a-doubles. Duties will include but not be limited to: Operating and driving heavy vehicles with multiple trailers. Transporting goods safely and efficiently over designated routes. Sign for their loads, including pre-departure documentation. Complying with all traffic laws and regulations related to heavy vehicle operation. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness. Maintaining accurate records of driving hours, rest periods, and vehicle maintenance. Monitoring vehicle performance and promptly reporting mechanical issues. Adhering to company policies and safety procedures while on the road. Interacting professionally with customers and other road users. Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods while managing delivery schedules. The successful candidate must possess: Comfortable couple/decoupling trailers (essential) Comfortable reversing (essential) Be physically fit. Attention to detail. Reliable and punctual. Friendly manner for customer interaction. Good written and spoken English. Able to follow instructions. Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test 12 months driving experience.
