Our Client: Is a leading Australian commercial and industrial lighting organisation. Proudly Australian-owned, the business has its head office located in Melbourne and offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and New Zealand, with a history spanning over 45 years. We are seeking a Lighting Sales Representative with a proven track record in lighting specification sales to join our South Australian sales team in Adelaide. Reporting to the State Manager, this role involves the primary functions of the South Australia Lighting Specification Consultant, focusing on promoting, specifying, and selling lighting solutions to the electrical building services industry in alignment with the proposed sales budget. Salary - depending on experience, $90,000 - $110,000 plus car allowance plus super. Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities • Achieve lighting solution sales in line with annual targets. • Promote lighting solutions to users and specifiers. • Build relationships and promote solutions in person. • Present product features, benefits, and illumination problem-solving solutions. • Educate and present lighting standards and technologies through workshops. • Engage in virtual promotion via email, video conferencing, or other electronic means. • Promote and utilise in-house design services. • Assist in building specification luminaire schedules during the design stage of lighting projects. • Present the design pipeline fortnightly during sales meetings. • Identify and develop new opportunities for lighting sales. • Cultivate new business relationships with end-user clients. • Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors, wholesalers, builders, and developers. • Support quoting teams to ensure timely project quotes. • Enhance customer satisfaction by maintaining acceptable response times to queries. • Deliver exceptional service to all customers and act as the main point of contact for customer requests. • Follow and continually refine procedures to maintain system accuracy in sales. Your Experience • A proven track record of success in lighting (or similar) specification sales. • Strong ability and drive to excel in both client acquisition and account management. • A collaborative mindset paired with a self-driven attitude. • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and budgets. • Experience in reporting on design pipelines, specifications, negotiations, and orders. • Capability to support and solve customer problems using lighting solutions. • Ability to identify tenderers and the relationships between contractors and wholesalers. • Proficiency in tracking quotes and converting them into purchase orders. • Effective use of physical samples and product documentation to promote solutions. • Strong communication skills to address and clarify customer expectations. • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
