Beacon Lighting operates a large-scale distribution centre in Parkinson Brisbane which services the Queensland store network. THE ROLE Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and with your team of Warehouse Associates, the purpose of this role to efficiently, accurately, and safely pick stock items listed in store orders from the Warehouse and to ensure that Warehouse locations are kept replenished with incoming goods. Key responsibilities include: oversee and lead operational facets of the Warehouse contribute to achieving sales/profitability of the Warehouse through own personal performance and that of the team monitor team members to ensure standards and procedures are followed and all required tasks are completed on time and in an accurate manner ensure the correct use of material handling equipment provide training and assistance in the use of RF scanners and other related technical equipment such as label printers maintain material handling equipment eg Forklifts, picker trucks, Stretch wrapper, dock levellers, trolleys and associated items. maintain records and documentation as required train new team members and enhance the skills of existing Associates, providing feedback on performance oversee H&S compliance in the warehouse environment and security of the DC ensure emergency procedures are adhered to by all warehouse associates and provide training as needed liaise with transport companies and Beacon Lighting Stores as required ensure integrity of the WMS and investigate any irregularities provide KPI reports on a weekly and monthly basis as agreed participate in warehouse improvement projects as required ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role: have valid LF Licence have experience and proven track record in the leadership of teams be a team player and enjoy being part of a successful team strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with your customers have the ability to multi-task and prioritise your work effectively excellent organisational skills and be computer literate take pride in maintaining an efficient and organised workplace lift and move stock and other items up to 20kgs, work at heights, bend and stretch, push and pull, and stand for prolonged periods on a regular basis operate equipment, such as power tools, forklifts a medical examination will be required to ensure suitability for the position BENEFITS To reward you for your efforts, we offer a competitive salary package, paid birthday leave and well-being days, generous product discounts, and the opportunity to purchase shares through the Beacon Lighting share scheme.
