Join Our Dental Team as a Dental Assistant & Receptionist Location: Melbourne Health Centre Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time Availability Required: Thursdays & Saturdays Are you passionate about dental care and looking to join a dynamic and friendly team? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant and Receptionist to join our practice on a casual or permanent part-time basis About the Role: As a dental assistant and receptionist, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, flexible, and eager to be part of a caring and professional environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting the dentist during procedures, including chair-side support and sterilisation of instruments; Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments; Managing patient appointments, bookings and recalls; Welcoming patients and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure; Handling patient enquiries and coordinating patient care; Maintaining patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date; and Managing payments and health fund claims. What we are looking for: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a dental assistant and/or dental receptionist is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; A positive, friendly attitude with a strong focus on patient care; Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and Proficiency in dental software (Oasis, Examine Pro) is a plus but not essential.
