Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1901, the College has served the local Fremantle community for over a century helping families to raise boys who continually strive for excellence and who exhibit Catholic Leadership in their quest to establish a more just and peaceful society. The Events Coordinator will be a motivated and enthusiastic professional who will be responsible for planning and organising a variety of College events, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently from start to finish including supporting events currently led by various staff within the school community. A personable approach and an understanding of events coordination is required. The Events Coordinator will be motivated by the desire to deliver and implement initiatives to a very high standard. The position is a full-time term-time position overseeing the logistical planning and on-site operations whilst coordinating with various stakeholders within and outside of the school. A strong attention to detail and experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources is required to ensure events are delivered on time and on budget. The role will require working outside of normal business hours when needed to attend and support events. Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will: • Give witness to their membership of a Catholic community through their attitudes, actions and practice. • Be willing to become an active member of the CBC Fremantle community with a strong commitment to promoting and supporting the varied aspects of College life. • Be willing to complete the requirements for Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School. • Proven experience in event coordination or project management, preferably in an educational or community setting. • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders. • High level of attention to detail to ensure that events are executed smoothly and professionally. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated to work independently. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges on the run. • Proficiency in using event management software, spreadsheets, and general office applications. Familiarity with social media platforms for event promotion is a plus. • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the Principal.
