The popular tourist destination offers many things to enjoy, and is a fantastic spot to boat, snorkel and explore the Croajingalong National Park The Opportunity As a Customer Service Officer, you will deliver welcoming and professional customer service through all customer interactions in person, on the phone and online. You will also be responsible for Resolving customer queries Asking direct and appropriate questions to assist customers Provision of accurate information in a timely manner Recording information in Council database software Maintaining a professional image and compliance with uniform policy This is a part time, ongoing position based at the Mallacoota Service Centre. Your hours of work will be Mon & Tues 9:00am – 2:00pm and Wed-Fri 1:00pm – 5:00pm (Total 22 hours) Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria) Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service industry Experience in a call centre or high-volume phone operations To have a passion to deliver the best service with a focus on delivering high resolution at the first point. Use initiative and problem-solving techniques for the best customer and business outcomes. Excellent numeracy, cash handling, balancing and end of day banking experience. Well-developed knowledge of the East Gippsland Shire, region and/ or services. Excellent keyboard skills and experience with Microsoft software; Internet; and database products. If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and hold a current and valid employee Working with Children Check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
