Your New Role You will be responsible for the design, build, support and accreditation of multiple large enterprise infrastructure platforms. Reporting to the Program Engineering Lead, the main responsibilities of this role will include building and extending multiple customer platforms, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and supporting middleware hardware and software. There will be times when you will need to be ‘hands on’, going out to site and aiding work to ensure both the logical and physical components of the system function as expected. You will be expected to perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team: Interpret customer requirements to produce detailed design documentation required to build out multiple supporting services to support multiple complex PaaS solutions. Extensive knowledge on Cisco UCS and VMware VCF solutions, integration with network and other services Installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining various Microsoft or RHEL platform services and toolsets delivered via a VMWare hypervisor. Tuning of system performance Using various automation techniques to streamline build activities and regular process such as configuration deployment and health checks. Producing and maintaining technical system and operational documentation. Your knowledge of midrange servers will see you provide SME support and advice on the project and resolve complex technical issues. Qualifications Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. You will also have: VMware virtualisation software including the VCF suite of tools Cisco UCS Server Administration Experience Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 & 2022 Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS Enterprise level backup products Storage technologies, usage and administration desirable. NetApp experience an advantage. Infrastructure as code experience will be highly favourable Following Certifications an advantage: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or MCTIP VMware Certified Professional (VCP) ITIL Foundation This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and have a minimum NV-1 security clearance.
