Purpos e: The successful Student Engineer will join the Technical Services and be exposed to all aspects of design, planning, and managing Council’s assets and in the delivery of capital works and maintenance programs. This role will challenge and develop your decision-making skills and provide scope to gain experience in local government civil engineering practices. About the role: Provide general assistance to the Technical Services team Undertake and assist in design and surveying duties Assist the department with investigating and actioning department customer service requests, preparing correspondence and the production of reports. Liaise with the community and Council’s staff in relation to project construction issues and enquiries. About you: Currently undertaking a tertiary degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Surveying, or Landscape Architecture. Experience with Microsoft Project, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Class C driver’s license. High level of written and oral communication skills.
