Wood is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer (Oil & Gas) to join our growing team in Darwin, NT. This is a permanent role to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients, in addition to partnering with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry to provide Brownfield Engineering, Procurement and Construction services on a long-term, Engineering Service Contract. This role is available as full-time / part-time (job share) basis. Wood is recruiting a Mechanical & Piping Engineer (Oil & Gas) to join our growing team in Darwin, NT Please note you must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia. Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 7 years with relevant industry experience, you will have: Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry on brownfields projects within an Engineering / EPCM office or gas processing facilities In-depth technical mechanical knowledge - design and operation Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian) Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills Proven experience managing small teams of Engineers Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles What will set you apart will be your in-depth Mechanical (Rotating & Static) & Piping experience in design in Oil & Gas - both onshore and offshore.
