We’re seeking an Engineer to join our growing and talented team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering innovative projects, leveraging your expertise to integrate distributed energy resources (DER) into a rapidly evolving power system. This role can be based in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane. What you will be doing Assess DER products and connection standards to ensure compatibility with high-DER power systems Analyse data and evaluate compliance with technical requirements for power system operation Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for a high-renewables energy system Monitor emerging DER products and services, ensuring AEMO supports market growth while maintaining system integrity Contribute to strategic reports, including the Engineering Roadmap to 100% Renewables Whilst we are open to applications during the Christmas and New Year period you will not receive an update until we reopen on 6 January 2025. What you will bring to the role Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Engineering, Technology, Science/Maths (with a power system focus), or equivalent experience Experience: 2–5 years in the energy industry, with a focus on technical product/service development Skills: Strong knowledge of power systems, analytical abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
