Then we would like to talk to you The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Senior Product Security Engineer to join our Boeing Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Enterprise, based in Brisbane. The BCS is a next generation network that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The system combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs. Responsibilities Developing and implementing product security and resiliency across the entire lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, support). Leading product and system security authorisation and assessment efforts. Ensuring security of equipment, tools, data, networks, facilities and resources involved in product processes. Advising stakeholders on maintaining product security and authorisation, including implications of product modifications. Developing security policies, audits, and assessments. Mentoring of less experienced engineers including teaching, guiding and coaching. Communicating and collaborating with a diverse team in a conscientious and inclusive way. Experience/Qualifications A relevant technical Bachelor degree (Engineering, IT, Computer Science) or relevant experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in Product Security or Cybersecurity supporting complex technical development and integration projects. Experience in supporting projects in an ASDEFCON contract environment highly regarded. Strong understanding of and experience with the Australian Defence security framework and associated policies and procedures, including experience with the Australian Cyber Security Centre Information Security Manual. Experience in the engineering lifecycle (e.g. design, test, integration, sustainment) as related to Product Security. Experience developing and implementing product and cyber security practices in an engineering or defence environment. Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to a broad and diverse audience. Knowledge and understanding of the methodology and processes associated with risk management Cyber security and engineering experience across some or all of the following environments is desirable: Network connectivity and configuration. Windows Client-server systems. Linux Client-server systems. Government authorisation processes Engineering Change Management processes.
