Position Summary Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance and scalable data solutions/pipelines using Teradata and Databricks. Work closely with Product owners, business users and data modelers to understand project requirements and contribute to the project solution. Implement efficient and maintainable code using best practices and coding standards. Create/maintain technical design documents as per business requirements. Mandatory Skills Must have 15 Years of overall experience working on complex Data Warehousing projects on data platforms such as Teradata. Must have good knowledge and working experience on Databricks platform. Expert level knowledge and experience on SQL, PL/SQL and Database Performance optimizations: 10-12 Years (Required) In-Depth knowledge of Teradata Database Architecture and development/coding standards. Good knowledge and understanding of Data models (Normalized / Dimensional models) and Data Lakehouse architecture. Good Working experience using Databricks notebooks and creation of Data pipelines in Databricks. Must have prior experience on Data analysis/Data profiling/Data mapping tasks. Well versed with GIT repositories for code version control. Must have good knowledge on AWS cloud concepts- such as EC2, S3 storage, RDS etc. Must have worked on Agile delivery projects and experienced using Confluence and Rally Software. Experienced on job scheduler tools such as Autosys. Excellent business and technology stakeholder management skills. Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems and able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Roles And Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance and scalable data solutions on Teradata and Databricks platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop efficient codes in Teradata using SQL/PL SQL, Macros, Stored Procedures, views and other Teradata objects. Utilize expertise in SQL /PL SQL to design, optimize, and maintain relational databases and write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis. Create Data extracts/reports from Teradata database which meets the business user’s requirements and ensure timely delivery of Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reports. Work with Databricks platform for big data processing and analytics. Develop and maintain ETL processes using Databricks notebooks and implement/optimize Databricks data pipelines for data transformation and integration. Creation of tables, views and materialized views using Databricks notebooks and scheduling the data refresh using workflows. Perform database performance tuning and optimization. Analyze and study the current data system architecture and recommend solutions for improvement. Involve in data profiling and data mapping tasks and creation of source to target data mappings. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making. Use GIT version control systems to manage and track changes to the codebase. Collaborate with team members through code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards. Document code, data models, and processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and future maintenance. Keep technical documentation up to date with any changes or enhancements. Create and schedule Teradata jobs using Autosys job scheduler and Databricks notebooks using workflows. Follow Agile method for project delivery and use confluence (for documentations) and Rally software (for Agile delivery).
