You will ensure the seamless and secure operation of technology systems, optimise performance, swiftly address any technical challenges that arise, and actively contribute to various projects. What you will be responsible for: You will take ownership of configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate), implementing and maintaining robust security policies to safeguard the network and ensure seamless performance. You will proactively review and refine firewall rules, ensuring they align with industry best practices and adapt to emerging security threats, keeping the network secure and resilient against evolving challenges. You will design, implement, and fine-tune SD-WAN solutions to improve network performance, minimise latency, and deliver flawless connectivity across branch offices and data centres. Your expertise will ensure a resilient, high-performance network that adapts to evolving demands and enables seamless communication for mission-critical operations. You will design and implement advanced network security protocols, including intrusion detection/prevention, secure VPNs, and encryption, to defend against cyber threats. Your expertise will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, fortifying the network against evolving risks. What we will need to see evidence of on your resume: Your hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls (Fortigate) in a commercial environment Your career history deploying and configuring SD-WAN technologies, preferably with vendors such as Fortinet Your expertise in intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) Your in-depth understanding of secure VPM implementation and management Your practical experience with encryption standards Your familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions (Azure, AWS) Your scripting & automation skills, particularly using Python, PowerShell or Ansible.
