Your new role In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for: Create a comprehensive project plan that outlines timelines, required resources, and risk assessments. Install, configure, and support network equipment such as routers, servers, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP. Optimise firewalls, routing, and switching to enhance efficiency and security. Schedule updates and outage windows to improve the efficiency of the existing network. Evaluate the feasibility of technical designs and provide feedback. Develop and execute a test plan to verify the functionality of designs. Offer technical support and guidance to project team members. Coordinate with various teams including design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance to ensure project goals are achieved. Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders. Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the network to ensure optimal performance. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience designing and implementing network solutions.Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise efficiency and security.Experience monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of the network.Knowledge and experience with: Windows & Linux Server, Azure, Hyper-V / VM-ware and Networking.Experience with Cisco CLI preferred.Experience leading teams on implementation of the technical solution.Excellent communication for internal and external stakeholders.
